Friday Face Off is currently hosted at Lynn’s Books. Today I’m comparing the book covers for The Tower and the Hive series by Anne McCaffrey.
I loved these books as a teenager, but they did not age well. While I can no longer say I enjoy the stories, I do still have an unfettered love for the original cover art.
I’ve seen newer covers for the series that all have a close-up of a sexified woman in contemporary clothing with a starry background, and I think they’re generic and terrible. There’s no personality or relation to the books.
