TBR: March of the Mammoths

The final readathon I’ll be participating in this month is March of the Mammoths Round 2.

I absolutely love the name. 😀 Find out more about the creator and the readathon in the announcement video.

It’s both a very simple readathon and a very difficult one. There’s only one challenge: read a book with 800+ pages. Whew!

For Round 2 of March of the Mammoths, I’ll be reading:

I started this book for another readathon last year and didn’t finish it. I enjoyed the 100 pages or so I got through, but I just wasn’t in the right frame of mind for such a commitment. This month, I’m ready!

Also, how utterly gorgeous is that cover? I loved it so much, and so enjoyed the first couple books of Samantha Shannon’s Bone Season series, that I had preordered Priory almost a year in advance so I could get the signed art print Bloomsbury offered. Despite it being an odd size, I squeezed the print into a frame, and now it hangs proudly above my desk.

(Side note: The bookstore I preordered from is Malaprop’s in Asheville, NC. I am in no way affiliated with them, but I want to plug them in case you’re in the area or are looking for a fantastic independent bookstore to support. Despite living nowhere near it now, I still order books from them. They GIFT WRAP mailed books, so it’s like unwrapping pure joy when the package arrives. See my Instagram post with a picture of how they wrapped Priory. Plus they’re always super fast filling orders and organized so well there were no issues at all getting Priory despite how early I put in my order. I know from personal experience that not all bookstores are so reliable.)

Are you planning to attempt the challenge of reading an 800+ page book? Let me know down in the comments! And wish me luck getting through all three readathons this month. XD
